Fruit in Years Three to Six:

Please provide a fresh piece of fruit or vegetables for your child’s mid morning playtime. If you are in receipt of free school dinners, your child will be provided this for free.

Milk in Early Years, Year One and Year Two

We also take part in the national school milk scheme. Children under 5 are entitled to free school milk and this is given to the children during the daily routine in the Early Years.  If your child is over 5 and you wish them to have milk please complete the following form, copies are also available from the school office.  Milk Letter

If your child is in Years Three to Six and is entitled to a free school dinner then they can also have free milk daily, Please please to your child’s class teacher or the school office.

We encourage children to have plenty of drinks of water through the day as this aids concentration and physical health. Drinking plenty of water during the day has also been shown to improve bed-wetting problems.

The school provides each child with a water bottle, which is washed, sterilised and refilled on a regular basis. The school provides a new bottle when the children enter their new class in September. Bottles that need replacing during the school year must be paid for by parents, they can be purchased at the school office for £1.50.
